MEET THE STAFF: Michael Thatcher, Los Angeles Head Trainer

Biography:  

In 1999 Mike led Ricks College to an NJCAA Cross Country National Championship. He later ran for Brigham Young University, excelling in the Mile and 3000 Meter Steeplechase. 
-
Since his return to Los Angeles in 2005, Mike has been competing for
Team Run With Us Elite, a Los Angeles based post-collegiate running program.

 In 2009 at the age of 32, Mike twice posted a 3:50 in the 1500M (4:07 converted mile time). He continues to pursue his goal of becoming the oldest "first time" sub four miler 
in American history.

  "I consider myself blessed to have learned at the feet of excellent coaches. The knowledge they gave to me, I hope to impart to every runner I work with." 

Mike has been coaching professionally since 2002.
